A Family Approach

What sets this program apart is its family-friendly design. The Change 2.0 program can be completed by yourself, with a partner, or with the whole family.

Step 1

Each week you will have a short 3-5 minute video to watch Monday through Wednesday. It will explain some elements of the change process. Following the video, you will have a short learning exercise to complete. If you are doing the program with your partner or other family members, you will also have a family activity to do.

Step 2

Each Thursday will be a day to reflect and practice the skills you have been learning. You will also have the opportunity to participate in a drop-in group if you choose. In this group, you will be paired with people working to change similar issues (e.g., reducing anxiety, stopping unwanted behavior, improving relationships, etc.).

Step 3

Each Friday we will discuss your questions and have you share your learning experiences. These sessions are designed to answer questions, help you address barriers, and celebrate your victories. These sessions will be recorded so you can access the video replay if you can't make it.

Intro to the Change Process

Welcome. In Session One you will be introduced to the Change 2.0 process. We begin will exercises designed to help you identify what you want to change.

Learn the Science of Change

In Session Two we will explain what researchers have discovered about the change process. While it is not rocket science, it is important to understand.

Discover Your What and Why

In Session Three we will help you identify your what and why. In other words, what do you want to change and why is it important for you to change that behavior.

Prepare to Succeed

 If you want to change, you have to prepare. Most people fail in their attempts at change because they are not prepared for the discomfort change requires. Learn how to prepare so you can succeed.

Frequently asked questions

How do we sign up a family member?

You will have two choices when you sign up. You can sign up for yourself or you can invite a partner or other family members to join you (up to five). You will be asked to send an email to support@humanintimacy.com with those you want to join you in your journey to change.

What if I want to work on multiple issues?

In this ten week course, you will be asked to choose one issue. That allows us to place you into a group where others are dealing with similar issues. However, if you want to work on other issues simultaneously that is okay too, you just won’t be placed in that support group.

Why do you call it Change 2.0

There are many great resources that discuss the change process. When the idea of Change 2.0 came to my mind, I realized that we (our society) needed to try something different. What makes this course unique is the emphasis on the preparation process. You won’t be asked to implement your change plan before you are prepared. Most people set New Years goals only to fail. As you go through this course, you will be asked to wait to officially begin your change start date until you have developed a clear plan of change. Most people fail to change because they are not prepared for the effort it takes to create lasting change.

How does the program work? 

The week is divided into three parts. On the first three days, you will be asked to watch educational support videos that explain a specific concept that describes the change process. You will be asked to watch the video and do an assignment related to the change process. Each Thursday you can attend a drop-in group. We will do our best to match you up with others who are working on similar issues. On Friday, we offer a Q&A session. You can ask your questions and share your successes. Our team will do our best to provide answers to your questions.
